HDRi Ground

The HDRi Ground section lets you project the current HDRI environment map onto a ground surface, placing your model inside the full HDRI sphere. When enabled, the background and the floor become one continuous HDRI image — your object appears as if it exists inside the real environment captured by the HDRI map. This is a quick way to get a realistic, immersive scene without any additional setup.

Where to Find It

This section is located on the right panel, inside the SceneScene tab, in the HDRi Ground section.

INFO

HDRi Ground uses whatever HDRI map is currently loaded in the Background / Environment section. If no HDRI map is set, enabling HDRi Ground will have no visible effect.

Enabled

Check or uncheck the Enabled checkbox to toggle the HDRi Ground on or off. When enabled, the HDRI environment map wraps around the scene as a sphere, and the ground becomes part of that sphere — creating a seamless environment where the background and floor are one continuous image.

Settings

World Radius
Controls the size of the HDRI sphere surrounding the scene. A larger radius pushes the environment further away, while a smaller radius brings it closer to the model
Tripod Height
Adjusts the vertical offset of the HDRI projection — similar to the height at which the original HDRI photo was captured. Change this to align the horizon line with your model's ground level
Origin Position (X, Y, Z)
Three inputs that shift the center point of the HDRI sphere in 3D space. Use this to reposition the environment relative to your model if the default alignment doesn't look right
